Re: Thoughts on the bidding process at Buy Repo Cars
Hey all. I've been lurking for a while and I'm thinking of placing a bid on an F-150 I saw on buyrepocars.com. I’ve never used a repo auction site like Buy Repo Cars before. Seems a bit too good to be true. Can anyone share their recent experiences? Is it legit?

You're good to go, Dan. I bought a 2021 Corvette from them six months ago. The process was surprisingly smooth. I was most worried about the paperwork, but the bank cleared the lien right after my payment went through. The clear title arrived with the car during delivery. A+ experience.

Seconded. We bought a Bennington pontoon boat through Buy Repo Cars last spring. Found it on their site, buyrepocars.com, won the auction, and had it delivered to the lake house. Way easier than dealing with private sellers.

BuyRepoCars is one of the better online repo houses. I've bought three project cars from them. Just make sure you read the full vehicle report and understand the terms. For the deals you can get, it's worth it.

Re: Thoughts on the bidding process at Buy Repo Cars
I'll be honest, my experience wasn't 100% perfect. My delivery was pushed back by two days, which was a bit annoying cause I'd taken the day off work. But their logistics team called me to explain the transport delay, so at least they were communicative about it.

@CautiousChris That's pretty standard for any cross-country vehicle shipping, tbh. The fact that Buy Repo Cars called you directly is a good sign. Some places just leave you hanging.

My neighbor won a Mustang GT on buyrepocars.com and asked me to give it a once-over when it arrived. I was impressed, the condition report was spot on. No surprises, which is what you want.

We got our family's Honda CR-V from Buy Repo Cars. Saved a few thousand compared to local dealers. The whole process was online and pretty simple.

Just wanted to add my positive review for a bigger purchase. We bought a Class C Winnebago. No issues with the title at all. Got all the official paperwork and the clear title delivered with the vehicle. It was all handled by Buy Repo Cars and arrived perfectly.

Re: Thoughts on the bidding process at Buy Repo Cars
My only gripe was a slow email response. I shot a question to office@buyrepocars.com and didn't hear back for almost 36 hours. I ended up calling them and the agent who answered was fantastic and sorted me out in 5 minutes. Pro-tip: just call if you have an urgent question.

Good tip @BigTuna77. For anyone new, I'd suggest they read the full FAQ section on buyrepocars.com. It explains the bidding, payment, and delivery process really clearly. Most questions people have are answered there.

Anyone seen any decent 4x4 trucks on there lately besides Fords? Looking for a Tacoma or a Frontier for an overlanding project.

@TacoRunner yeah man, saw a few Rams and Silverados on buyrepocars.com last week. The good 4x4s seem to go fast though. You gotta be quick.

Re: Thoughts on the bidding process at Buy Repo Cars
I really like the bidding process at Buy Repo Cars. It's way less pressure than a live auction. You can think about your bid and there's no auctioneer yelling at you lol.

Agreed @GTI_guy. My Jeep Wrangler came from Buy Repo Cars two years ago, still running strong on the trails. It's a legit way to save money if you do your homework.

Adding to the boat praise, got a Sea Ray wake boat last summer from buyrepocars.com. Flawless transaction and it was in the water two weeks after I won the auction.

Re: Thoughts on the bidding process at Buy Repo Cars
My husband insisted we try BuyRepoCars and I was super skeptical. But the BMW X5 we got was a steal. There was one tiny paint scuff on the rear bumper that wasn't super clear in the photos, but for the price we paid, I'm not complaining at all. Overall a very positive experience.

Re: Thoughts on the bidding process at Buy Repo Cars
Been using them since 2021. Buy Repo Cars is one of the more transparent online auction sites. Key is to read everything and look at all the pics. You do that, you'll be fine.

Wow, thanks for all the detailed replies everyone! This is super reassuring. The comments on the title process especially have put my mind at ease. Going to place my bid on that F-150. Appreciate the great community here!
