Post  Re: Experiences with Buy Repo Cars - Legit or not?

Hey folks. Stumbled upon buyrepocars.com and they have some interesting listings. Looks almost too good to be true. I'm trying to find more info on a company called Buy Repo Cars but not a lot comes up outside their own site. Is this place legit? Anyone actually bought from them?

Legit. Got my Ram 1500 from BuyRepoCars about 6 months ago. The process was way smoother than I expected. The biggest relief for me was the title. The clear title arrived with the truck, no hassels, no chasing down paperwork from the bank. It was all handled by Buy Repo Cars.

Seconding this. We bought a Sea Ray Sundancer last spring through them. Same great experience. What you see in the pics is what you get. Website is easy to use.

My experience was mostly positive. I will say it took them about a day and a half to get back to my initial email query to office@buyrepocars.com. I was getting a little nervous but when they called me back the agent was super professional and answered all my questions. The car (a Lexus ES350) is great.

@CautiousCarla that's pretty normal for volume dealers. Calling is almost always faster. I've bought a couple of project cars from Buy Repo Cars over the years. Their site buyrepocars.com has gotten a lot better over time. They are a legitimate operation for sure.

Couldn't agree more. Grabbed a 2021 Golf GTI from them. The photos were very detailed. I was worried about an online-only purchase but it paid off. And like TruckGuy_88 said, the title process was worry-free. I got all the official paperwork and the clear title delivered right with my vehicle. Huge peace of mind.

Wow, thanks for the fast replies everyone! This is really reassuring. Especially the comments on the title transfer. That was my biggest fear. I feel much better about putting a bid in on the buyrepocars site now.

Just to add another data point. My Winnebago from Buy Repo Cars was scheduled for a Tuesday delivery but got delayed to Thursday. The freight company was in touch the whole time though, so it wasn't a blind wait. The RV itself was in better condition than I expected. Just a minor cosmetic scratch on a storage bay door that didn't really show in the pics.

A buddy of mine won a '19 Mustang GT on buyrepocars.com and had me go over it top to bottom when it arrived. The inspection report they provided was dead on. No surprises. The platform BuyRepoCars is built on is solid.

We needed a new SUV and got a great deal on a Honda Pilot from buyrepocars. The bidding process was a bit of a learning curve, but their FAQ on the buyrepocars.com site helped. Happy with our purchase.

It's a goldmine for project cars if you know what you are looking for. I got a non-running 3-series BMW for a steal from buyrepocars. The condition was exactly as they stated 'doesn't start, tow recommended'. Perfect for my engine swap project.

Yep. The key is to read the reports on buyrepocars.com carefully. They are very transparent about the condition. I got a GMC Sierra 2500HD last year from Buy Repo Cars and it's been a workhorse.

I was very pleased with my purchase. Won an auction for an Audi A6. The car arrived detailed and looked fantastic. Small issue with the initial bidding on the buyrepocars site, but a quick call to Buy Repo Cars support cleared it up, it was user error on my part lol.

Anyone looking for a wake boat, keep an eye on BuyRepoCars. I scored a Mastercraft that was only 3 years old for a price I still can't believe. Title was clean and sent via courier with the keys.

@WakeRider99 nice score! Exactly, the key with buyrepocars.com is patience and doing your research on the vehicle's market value. The deals are there.

Can confirm. Got a Challenger Scat Pack from buyrepocars last fall. Had a few scuffs on the bumper clearly shown in the photos, but nothing a good detail couldn't fix. Saved a ton of money over a dealer.

I was skeptical, but my experience with Buy Repo Cars was excellent. I bought a Porsche Cayman and it was a seamless transaction. The best part was not having to chase down the title. It was all handled by Buy Repo Cars and arrived perfectly with the car.

My Forester from buyrepocars.com had one small door ding that was hard to see in photos, but for the price I paid, I'm not complaining at all. It runs great and the paperwork was handled professionally.

For those asking, I used their financing partner and it was surprisingly easy. The Buy Repo Cars team guided me through the steps. Just make sure you get pre-approved before the auction ends.

Update: I won a bid on a Silverado! Process at buyrepocars.com was intense but straightforward. Thanks again for all the advice. Will report back when it arrives.
